Today our "men in black" F.D.O. joined forces and worked together. The basic class in the morning session focused on more blogging features as adding pools and hit counters. We also finished subscribing to each other's blog so that we'll be able to keep update on what we are all doing when we go back home. In the afternoon session instead we focused on Microsoft Office publisher. We started designing a e-card invitation. The best one will be sent out to our guests for the closing ceremony!!
In the advance training we continued developing our joomla's space and learnt how to add banners to them. |

During the seminar we had some very inspiring guests among which Stephen Salmon, head of Thai craft. He engaged us with a talk about fair trade and how Thai craft comply to its ethics. He gave us some useful hints on what can be done generally to expand fair trade and apply it to the homeworker environment. He also offered his availability to all if anyone would like to have his product included in the Thai craft catalog. Stephen is an outstanding example of how foreigners can blend into a different culture, learning and giving every day (He speaks Thai fluently!!) and help by spreading awareness to avoid exploitation where that could easily happen.
Thanks Stephen you really enlightened our path!
Stephen has two web platforms and they are both skillfully built, check them out:

Don't sleep around!! That's what seems to be the Italo-Philippines connection (Dary&Mary) statement. Or if you do, we'll make you a sleeping beauty queen!
During our second day out to the ICT center Francesco and the fashinating Mr Hieu have been caught sleeping in the van, so we adornated them with beautiful orchids without them even realizing it! We would like to set up a contest!! if you have a chance to catch any more partecipant sleeping around, please take a funny picture of them and refer to us. The hottest sleeping beauty queen of the seminar will be selected by our two chicky judges and will be given a surprise during the closing ceremony!

The following is my comment on the Aseanhomeworkers workshop:-
The concept of this Asean ICT workshop and seminar is unique. Asean homeworkers go to Global Village outreaching to the theme "One Vision, One Identity, One Community"
This is the great opportunity HOW ICT could help empowering the small homeworkers in Thailand especially for Ranong. It's catalyst us how can we develop our ICT to our income generating activities especially among all the small homewokers as well as develop our English skill in the same time. Besides, this regional event has created the regional friendship network among all the 9 ASEAN countries. |
