Cultural Tour in Central Part of Thailand.

This day we visited the Benjarong Village, they have shown to the ICT participants the OTOP (One Tambun One Product) project, the Benjarong group is producing handpainted ceramics.  The Benjarong community gained its reputation because of their holistic and active participation and commitment with in the community and the government. The group also received various awards in all levels. ICT was also introduced to  the group through Thai Tambon.com which they use an avenue to advertise their products.

We also visited Donkaidee Village were there are so many Home Stay (were tourist/ foreigners can stay while in Thailand). Also, we visited one of the active Tele-Center in Thailand and interviewed the tele-center operator, which she explained to us the reason on how they gained their success, and she said  "it's because of our effective participation with the various stakeholders of the community such as school, government and non-government organization".

Welcome to the e-commerce world!!!

A blessed day to everyone! It's been a long and fruitful day for all of us. Participants are very cooperative and active during the seminar. The resource speaker are very generous and they are willing to share their knowledge with all participants. I would like to thank Erica Sim and Ms. See Ching Feng from Singapore, they thought the group  the importance of a website for the homeworker. They taught us how to better market our website and make our space more visible through the use of keywords, crossing links, social network, search engines, midgets and many more. Ms. Erica Sim show cased her own website and shared with us all her means to drive traffic into it (www.bab.com.sg). She extensively explained the infinite possibilities of wordpress.org as a tool to webdesign, promote, market, eCommerce and so on. There are many possibilities to market your website and you can easily do it yourself as long as you keep yourself updated with all the tool at your services.

We still have more days for our training, this is just the first day and I'm looking forward for the next few days. I know I will learn a lot from the 9 ASEAN Country representatives, and as for me, I will share my knowledge and technical skills to all participants.

To the organizers, thank you for inviting our country and being part of this seminar/workshop, you just give us an avenue to be an empower individual and homeworker. Mabuhay tayong lahat!
